Camp Director: Rick Jacobs
 As head coach at St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, NJ, Rick has developed one of the finest high school soccer programs in the country. His teams have fashioned a 502-25-13 record during his 24-year tenure and he was named “Coach of the Decade” by the Star Ledger for his coaching accomplishments during the 1990’s. The Star Ledger trophy awarded to the #1 team in New Jersey, has been won by the Gray Bees an unprecedented 10 times. Jacobs has also steered his teams to 6 county titles and 22 state championships. In addition, the St. Benedict’s Soccer Program has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as one of the top twenty five soccer teams in the country 19 of the last 24 years. This year’s 2006 squad finished #1 in the country, making it their 6 "mythical" national championship to go along with number 1 rankings in 1990, 1997, 1998, 2001, 2005 and 2006. His 1989, 1999 & 2000 squad finished #2 while the 1995 team finished with a #6 National Ranking. In 1996 Rick was the Head Coach of the Junior National Maccabi Team which won a Silver Medal in Buenos Aires, Argentina and he coached the Junior National Team at the World Games in Israel in 1997. He was named National Coach of the Year by Student Sports Magazine in 2001.
His philosophy of being a “mature and disciplined” player has been understood by All Americans at the high school and college level, US National Team Players, National High School and College Players of the Year, as well as, Olympic Sports Festival, Pan American performers and professionals in the United States and abroad.
In 1990 he was selected NJ High School Coach of the Year by the Star Ledger. He is a USSF licensed coach, a member of the NSCAA, coached in the Olympic Development Program for NJ and is on the adidas Soccer Advisory Board. This Spring he continues his work as a Board Member of The Claudio Reyna Foundation .
